Wood, sand, cement, plaster
How can one re-value a remain that is forgotten?
By lifting up a fort remain in Dinas, Eryi National Park,
Wales, the gesture demonstrates “protection” of the
heritage through the non-existent yet strong use of
timber scaffolding to contain the structure, and ultimately
reimagining the fort’s original form. The hollow form
allows the act of (vertical) lifting, while remaining itself
invisible through the ‘thinness’ of timber.
